Privacy Policy
We collect only what we need to provide the service you ask for, and we do not sell it. This page explains the details.
1. Who we are
Dirty Paws LLC is a mobile pet grooming and dog training service based in Peoria, Arizona, serving the Phoenix Valley. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Dirty Paws LLC. "You" means anyone who visits this website or books a service with us.
We are the data controller for the information described below. You can reach us at Dirtypawsstg@gmail.com or on 480.544.7457.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
When you contact us about a booking, you choose what to send. In practice that is usually:
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- The service address, including gate codes or parking notes if you send them.
- Your dog's name, breed, age, coat condition and temperament.
- Medical or behavioural notes relevant to handling — skin conditions, hip problems, anxiety around dryers, bite history.
- Your vet's details, if you choose to share them for emergencies.
- Anything else you write in an email or say on the phone.
Information we create
After an appointment we keep a short service record: date, service performed, coat and skin observations, products used, and any handling notes for next time. If we take before-and-after photographs we ask first, and we ask separately again before using any photograph publicly.
Information collected automatically
This website is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising trackers. The enquiry form on our contact page does not send anything to a server: it assembles what you typed into a message and opens it in your own email application, so nothing leaves your device until you press send. Our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp — for security and reliability. Typefaces are served from this site, so loading them does not create a request to Google or another font provider. See our Cookie Policy for what is stored on your device.
3. Why we use it
- To deliver the service. We need your address to arrive, and your dog's history to groom safely.
- To arrange and confirm appointments. Reminders, arrival windows, and rescheduling.
- To keep handlers and dogs safe. Bite history and medical notes travel with the booking.
- To take payment and keep the records our accountant and tax authority require.
- To answer questions you send us, including complaints.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not send marketing email unless you ask us to, and every such message carries a one-click unsubscribe.
4. Our legal basis
Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, ours is: contract, for everything needed to book and perform a groom; legal obligation, for financial records; legitimate interests, for safe handling notes, service quality and fraud prevention; and consent, for marketing messages and for any public use of photographs. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the service you receive.
5. Who sees it
Your information stays with the groomer assigned to your dog and the person managing the schedule. We share it outside that circle only with:
- Payment processors, who handle card details directly. We never see or store your full card number.
- Our email and scheduling providers, who host the systems the booking sits in.
- A veterinarian, if your dog needs urgent care during an appointment and you are not reachable.
- Our accountant, for invoices and tax filings.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.
6. How long we keep it
- Client and dog records: for as long as you are a client, then three years after your last appointment, so we can pick up where we left off if you come back.
- Financial records: seven years, as tax law requires.
- Enquiries that never became bookings: twelve months.
- Photographs approved for public use: until you ask us to stop using them.
- Server logs: deleted on our host's rolling schedule, typically within thirty days.
7. Keeping it safe
Records are held in access-controlled accounts protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication. Devices are encrypted. Only staff who need a record can open it. If a breach occurs that is likely to put you at risk, we will tell you and the relevant regulator without undue delay.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: get a copy of what we hold; correct anything wrong; ask us to delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; receive it in a portable format; withdraw consent; and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — though we do neither.
Email Dirtypawsstg@gmail.com and we will respond within thirty days. We will not charge you for exercising a right, and we will not treat you differently for doing so. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
Our service is for dog owners aged eighteen and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes will be sent to clients by email before they take effect.
11. Contact
Questions, corrections or deletion requests: Dirtypawsstg@gmail.com or 480.544.7457.
This policy is written in plain language and is not legal advice. Retention periods and regulator references are general practice rather than a lawyer's opinion. Have a qualified attorney confirm it against Arizona and federal requirements before relying on it.
